Great Wolf Lodge

We got in last night from a wonderful trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. It's a hotel with an indoor waterpark. We had a BLAST! Thanks so much to our friends P and L for inviting us along. We got to stay in a great room. It was a Kid Cabin Suite which meant it had a little log cabin in the room with three beds. It was so cute! The kids thought that was really neat. We hit the waterpark soon after checking in and had so much fun. They had really great slides and the best wave pool that the kids never wanted to get out of. The lines were not long at all and the atmosphere was just really family friendly. Michael and Neil braved a couple slides, it took some coaxing at first but once they did it, they wanted more and more! Some of those slides were soooooooo fast. You know it's fast when it gives you a swimsuit wedgie, lol. Daniel chose to stick to the wave pool but he was quite brave, swimming out to the 5 ft area and holding his own. He was just so cute hanging out there. He did go down one of the outdoor slides and had fun with it but one was his limit. He liked it when the wolf howled and the waves came out or if he was outside the little mountain would spray down. I think us adults were wore out before they were, they kept going and going. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, it was one of the best buffets I've ever eaten at. Daniel was quite impressed that he could have cereal for dinner. They had a Kid Island that was filled with all kid friendly food. They had little cereal machines and Daniel loaded up. Michael was amazed at how good the cheese pizza was, he had 3 pieces and kept saying over and over, this is soooooooo good. Neil's favorite was the egg rolls, I think he ate 5 or 6. We really got our money's worth, we waddled our way back to the room.
If you're looking for something fun to do and don't want to drive too far and don't want to be overwhelmed with crowds, check out Great Wolf Lodge, it's howling fun!!!

Thanks to D and the kids for watching Sapper...we had no worries knowing she was being spoiled...I mean watched over by you guys!

Didn't get my normal amount of pics as the area was nothing but water and didn't want to damage the cam. But we got a few! Enjoy!

Hey, that's so cool! We have a Great Wolf Lodge up here in WA State too. I didn't realize it was a chain hotel. It'll be really popular up here because we only get 3 months of sunshine for outdoor swimming.

Right now our outdoor water park - Wild Waves - is going strong. That's where we went today. I'll have to put some pictures up on my blog about it.

I'm glad you guys had a good time!!
