Holiday Mail for Heroes

I already see friends and other people around the internet posting the address to Walter Reed and encouraging others to send cards to "A Recovering American Soldier". Please stop and do your research and save your stamp. No mail will get to any of our Troops that way due to safety reasons (and the fact that the hospital has since changed). If you want to send mail to our recovering Troops, go through the Red Cross.
If you don't know what I'm talking about...this is what people post on Facebook or their blogs and it is wrong information.
When filling out your Christmas cards this year,Please Please take a card and send to this address: A Recovering American Soldier, c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20307-5001. Pass this on and think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get. Please copy and post on your wall.
I promise I am not trying to ruin your holiday spirit like some people think I am.  I researched this years ago.  If you want to add our amazing Troops to your Christmas card list,  the link below will give you the guidelines and address.

 Happy Holidays!
