Is it safe to say...Wrestling Season Over???

Dare I even type the words...I think wrestling season may actually be over!  Neil finished the Greco/Freestyle season placing 2nd in Greco and 3rd in Freestyle at the State Championships.  Not bad for only his second season of wrestling and first of Greco/Freestyle.  He was a bit disappointed in himself but we have to constantly remind him that he did his best and that is all that matters!  Kevin and I are still amazed at the level of dedication he had this entire season.  For most of the Greco/Freestyle season he was the only middle-school wrestler going to tournaments.  He has been weight-lifting three days a week and attending wrestling practice twice a week.  He continues to watch what he eats, telling me what he wants and I am amazed that as a 14 year old he has that much self-control.  Neil has been an amazing example to his brothers and his friends.  We are so proud of all he has accomplished this season!

The work isn't over yet though, the high school wrestling coach has an entire schedule set up for the summer, Neil will be working hard all year round now, as one of his coaches said on Sunday..."he's in the big leagues now!".
