This past weekend, I had the chance to go to Time Out For Women in Houston, TX. It was a great time. I will admit that it didn't quite rate up there with my Time Out For Women experience in San Antonio but it was still lots of fun. I traveled up there with three other ladies. My good friend Jackie flew in from Georgia to go. She's a little crazy but I love her anyway and she fit in with the rest of us. We started off in the rain and got a bit turned around but saw some pretty fabulous houses out there. The Friday evening session started off kind of slow for me but it might have been the weather that contributed to that. I was tired after sitting in a car for over 5 hours. Afterwards we went to dinner and it was funny that they kept offering all the Mormon women trickling in the wine list. That meal was great. I had the best Chicken Fried Steak ever. "T" had some buffalo and let me try some and it was FABULOUS! It was almost 11 when we finished our dinner so we were all a little overtired. It made the act of getting ready for bed interesting. Here are some pictures to give you a little insight on the bedtime routine.
Here is "J" trying to figure out how to turn the heat up, we were all freezing. Jackie is on the phone with the engineer trying to figure out how to turn up our heat. I think she was also asking for more towels and a tablet to write on.
Jackie and "J" trying to get the roll-a-bed untied. We tried to tell "J" to just sleep on it like that but she wouldn't go for it. Why not? So what if a buckle is in the middle of your back, lol"J" is slightly addicted to facebook. Here she is checking her page out.
Jackie "relaxing" while playing Spider on the computer.Me and "T". We got to share a bed, we had to take a pic just for memories sake! The four of us, this is a not so flattering pic of me...seriously need some ab workouts.Being silly. The highlight of the event for me was meeting Chris Stewart again. He remembered me and asked how Kevin was. That was just plain awesome.
