Change for America

Wow, what a night...the anxiety of it all. I will say initially I was quite disappointed because I did vote for McCain. I do believe America is ready for change and that it will happen. I pray that our nation will be guided in the direction it needs to go. I am a proud American, I will support our President. I think history was made and I think that is awesome.

I will pray that our new Commander-in-Chief will remember those who protect the process who put him in that seat. I don't have false notions that my husband will be home any sooner or even that he won't go back, but that wasn't the basis of my vote. I am concerned about what our retirement package will be and how the military budget will be affected, but I will have faith that it will all work out.

Yes, change is good, it's progress, I look forward to seeing where the next four years will take us, both as a nation and personally for our family.

Ditto. I am concerned with more than just the next 6 months. I hope that his policies and efforts are focused on the long term.

Eek... change CAN be good... Progression is part of change. I question his ideals though. I hope that it will progress us towards positive avenues that will uplift and better this country. However, I fear we will go backwards knowing how historically his desires generally don't work out to the scale he wants. We'll just continue to pray and hope that things work out for the best and pray for the freedoms we have that we oft times don't recognize we have as a nation.
