MilSpouse Friday Fill In #20

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

I ask not for a lighter burden, but for broader shoulders.

  1. A different twist on last week’s question. This week, the first question is: what’s the nicest thing a MILSPOUSE has ever done for you? (brought to you from navy_smurfette) During my husband's 2005/2006 deployment our unit had casualties and I was the FRG leader. My time was pretty crazy. One of my dear friends stepped in to make sure I had no worries at home by picking up my kids from school, often making our family dinner and just being there. Although she was my friend, I will always appreciate how she stepped up when many "friends" backed away.
  2. How often do you drive faster than the speed limit? Not very often, I might go 4 miles over on the highway but never on post.
  3. Did you have a nickname in school? If so, what was it? My really good friends called me Nay...
  4. If your life was a book, what would the title be and how would it end? "Be Part of the Solution, Not Part of the Problem" - that seems to be my motto for everything. It would end with me doing my very best throughout my entire life trying to make a difference every day. People could look back at me and know that I tried daily to do the right thing and make a difference.
  5. Look back (in your planner if you have one) to September 14th… what did you do that day? We had a Boy Scout Roundtable that evening. And we had an AFTB night class where I taught a class or two.

I agree with you about speeding...I NEVER speed on base!
