MilSpouse Friday Fill In #16

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

What is the longest road trip you’ve ever taken? I drove from Idaho to Fort Campbell, KY and then back from Fort Campbell, KY to North Dakota back to Idaho. The trip from Campbell to ND and ID was with a one year old.

Do you collect anything? Tell us a bit about it. We have two main collections in this house, we collect shot glasses from everywhere we go (and we don't drink, haha). And we collect Military memorabilia. I was just having a conversation about the Military stuff with a friend the other day. Most of what we have collected we have been lucky to find at flea markets or yard sales and a lot of times it's just given to us.

What is your favorite part about being an adult? Being a mother and a wife, I cannot express into words what a blessing these two roles have been in my life.

What song brings a tear to your eye? TAPS, I think that explains itself.

Describe your first plane ride (how old you were, where you were heading, etc). I was 17 and I was flying to Boise, Idaho to the MEPS station there to join the Idaho Army National Guard. I had to fly from Idaho Falls, Idaho to Salt Lake City, Utah and then to Boise, Idaho. It was kind of crazy. I wasn't nervous about flying, I was excited about the journey I was about to begin.
