Today I feel sad. A member of my Military Family had to bid farewell to his family today for a 12 month deployment to Afghanistan. I've never met him or his family outside of twitter but those who live this Military lifestyle understands when one of our own has to say that dreaded goodbye.

For me, I think it makes me sad because it takes me back to our farewells, it brings back those emotions.

I sat here this morning, looking out the window, watching the snow fall and my mind wandered back to the feelings I felt when I had to kiss Kevin goodbye. I had to stop the tears. He is home and he is safe....

I pray that this deployment goes by swiftly for my friend and his family...

Please keep ALL our Troops in your prayers...each and every day and don't forget about their families!
