Soldier's Angels

I don't even know where to begin when it comes to this organization. They truly are Angels, every single person who has taken the time to be a part of the Soldier's Angels program. Kevin came across their site one evening while passing time (apparently I was not around and he decided to burn time surfing the net). He decided to sign up for Soldier's Angels and has received so much support. It's amazing to me. Care packages and letters.

I recently signed up to adopt a few Soldiers to take care of. I know from when I was a Soldier myself, how important mail can be. I get asked a lot by our friends "how can I help?" Well here is a way. Now, I know times are tough and many are on a tight budget. There are so many different ways you can help Soldier's Angels.

Can you bake? Can you sew? Can you write a letter? The United States Postal Service has helped out so much by coming up with Flat Rate boxes that can be sent overseas for about $10. No matter how much it weighs, you pay one flat rate. CLICK HERE and you can see the boxes and even order them for FREE!

So there are so many ways that you, my faithful blog readers, can help Support Our Troops. Go to their site and check it out and maybe even sign up to help in some way.

Because this is a cause that Kevin and I believe so strongly in we want to put out a little incentive to get people helping. We have decided to have a drawing for TWO Support Our Troops Packages that we have put together. Each package will include the following:

• 1 - U. S. Army T-shirt (we live on an Army post, what can I say, lol)
• 1 - U.S. Army or Support Our Troops Challenge Coin
• 1 - Support Our Troops Magnet
• 1 - Patriotic Stationary Set
• 1 - Book of Stamps

So what do you have to do to get in on the drawing? Go to the Soldier's Angels website and sign up to be a part of the team. Sign up by 1 February 2009. After you receive your confirmation from SA, email us (ihave3crazyboys@hotmail.com) with your name and the message confirming you as a new SA. We don't want to be all up in your business so we really only need the header that shows the from email address (just to keep this fair). On 2 February 2009, I will put all the names from the emails I receive into my Steel Pot (yes, we really own one, how HOOAH is THAT!) and our beloved Army Brats will draw the winners of our Support Our Troops packs! We'll even video tape it to keep it more fair!

Until our drawing on 2 February, I will change the settings of our blog so you don't have to be registered to leave a comment, so make sure you let me know you signed up and emailed us and we'll put your name in the steel pot TWICE!!
